JOB SUMMARY:

We exist to guarantee the comfort of our customers and the efficiency of their mechanical systems.  This is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations of the TAB department.  The Co-op/ Intern will learn HVAC systems and their operation.  They will also learn NEBB standards, practices, and procedures.  The Co-op/ Intern will support projects as directed by the TAB supervisor.  Interaction with Project Managers, Customers, TAB Technicians, Field Foremen, and other trade subcontractors will be required.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist field operations: 
    • Schedule projects and labor with the TAB supervisor. 
    • Communicate with technicians and project managers to facilitate the resolution of action items. 
  • Assist TAB project management: 
    • Estimate project hours and cost. 
    • Review project specifications and contract documents. 
    • Build project quotes and proposals. 
    • Communicate with customers. 
  • Assist TAB Supervisor: 
    • Create project documentation. 
    • Create and edit drawings. 
    • Review equipment and design values. 
    • Write RFIs to resolve design discrepancies. 
    • Analyze reported field data. 
    • Ensure equipment calibration program adherence.  
  • Participate in the company’s co-op lunch and learn program.
  • Properly maintain opportunities in Salesforce. 
  • Communicate directly with customers to ensure proposals are received on time. 
  • Assist in sending out equipment for calibration. 
  • Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques and project management approaches. 
  • Participate in regular site visits and ensure feedback is provided to team members and supervisors

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Dynamics SL
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with Smartsheet
